Custom Welding System for Stainless Steel Sinks

A customer in the appliance industry needed a company with the ability to design and fabricate a welding system to produce their stainless steel sink. Banner Welder was contracted to perform all of the required work, developing a turnkey work station fully equipped to handle the customer’s application. Configuring a semi-automatic welding and grinding line, the delivered system was capable of a 38 second per sink production cycle time, constructing the unit from 301 stainless steel. The system is initiated with a manual operator load, and the material is subjected to a preprogrammed gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) process. The welded sink is then planished with a grinding operation to produce a cosmetic finish.

The welding line was manufactured within a turnaround time of 32 weeks, fully tested and debugged to ensure the meeting of customer standards and specifications.
