Automated Welding System for Bumper Assembly

Banner Welder was contracted to design and fabricate the automated welding system assembly highlighted here for a customer in the industry. This system was manufactured to carry out the design of a bumper assembly for an application, with cells set up to accomplish a number of progressive tasks including MIG welding, notching, shearing, seam welding, and material handling. Stations feature manual and automatic loading, with advanced robotic welders creating a series of programmed welds 13mm to 79mm in size. The bumper assembly is composed of high strength steel, with sealing provided by operators where required. Gage inspection is utilized to ensure product accuracy and integrity.

This production welding solution is suitable for heavy production volumes, producing bumpers for the customer.
